Crisis Services

If you are at immediate risk of suicide or harm to yourself or others, or if you require medical or emergency intervention, call 911 or go to the nearest Emergency Department.

Crisis Walk-In Services

  • Canadian Mental Health Association Thames Valley Addiction and Mental Health Services (CMHATV) - Elgin Branch - www.cmhaelgin.ca/ - 10 Mondamin Street, St. Thomas, ON (Monday - Friday, 9 am - 4:00 pm). Information & Resources:  Intake Team 519-633-1781; Toll-free 1-855-633-1781 (Mon-Fri 8:30 am - 4:30 pm); Support Line: 519-601-8055; Toll-free 1-844-360-8055; Complete a virtual intake form @ www.cmhatv.ca/start/ and a counsellor will reach out to help connect you to services.
  • The Crisis Centre - cmhatv.ca/find-help/mental-health-addictions-crisis-centre/ - 648 Huron Street, London, ON (519) 434-9191 (24 hours a day, 7 days a week) for individuals experiencing a mental health and/or addictions crisis who do not require hospital or emergency services (911). Available to residents of London, Middlesex, Elgin, and Oxford.  Please note: The Crisis Centre is not a medical service (there is no psychiatrist on site).
  • Ontario Structured Psychotherapy (West Region) www.ospwest.ca - Provides support for adults with depression, anxiety, and anxiety related concerns. An electronic referral is available at www.ospwest.ca.  Self-referrals accepted.

On-line Supports

  • www.mindyourmind.ca - on-line resource for ages 14 to 29 to co-create interactive tools and innovative resources to build capacity and resilience.
  • www.camh.ca/hopebycamhapp - free smartphone app “HOPE” by Centre for Addictions and Mental Health (CAMH) that provides suicide prevention information, tools and crisis resources to support and guide individuals when they are experiencing thoughts of suicide.
