The Laboratory at STEGH is located in the basement of the North Tower and is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by a team of 40 lab professionals, including medical laboratory technologists, medical laboratory assistants, clerical staff, and pathologists. The lab performs hundreds of test each day in hematology, chemistry, point of care, transfusion medicine and pathology.

The lab provides testing to all internal hospital service areas and provides technical expertise in collaboration with our regional partners.

Community Lab Services

Two community-based labs in St. Thomas, LifeLabs, are available able to serve the community for routine specimen collections not available at the hospital. Visit their website www.lifelabs.com for locations, hours of operations, and contact information.
