At STEGH, we continue to invest in designing the best patient experience. We recently replaced all patient entertainment systems in our Continuing Care Centre for our longer-term patients.

An increasing number of patients on our medical units are bringing their own devices to hospital (cellphones, tablets, etc.). Due to this fact, the need to supply in-room services is no longer required.

In an effort to better support this practice, and with help from the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital Foundation, we have enhanced and upgraded our WiFi service, which is provided at no cost to patients and visitors.

The next time you come to the hospital for an appointment or overnight stay, be sure to bring along your mobile device! (STEGH is not responsible for damaged, lost or stolen patient property.)

Televisions are also located in each lounge on the units.

Telephone

Telephones are available in most patient rooms and are provided free of charge for our patients.

For the comfort of other patients, incoming calls are discouraged between 11:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
