St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital (STEGH) is taking a system approach to care delivery with hospitals across our region and across the province to ensure everyone has access to care when they need it. This could include the transferring of medical or critical care patients to STEGH to manage pressures on ICUs in harder hit areas of the province.
Patients with planned appointments at STEGH are unaffected unless they receive a call directly from the hospital. Safety is our top priority and we continue with enhanced infection prevention and control measures.
