STEGH receives over $1.2 million in Provincial Funding

The St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital is receiving $1,231,883 in Provincial funding to maintain and update infrastructure. Elgin-Middlesex-London MPP Jeff Yurek announced the Hospital Infrastructure Renewal Funding on Wednesday afternoon (December 18) at STEGH.

STEGH’s funding was also announced as part of the $10 million that is being allocated between STEGH, London Health Sciences Centre and St. Joseph’s Health Care London.

At STEGH specifically, the funds will be used for various projects to improve safety for patients, visitors and staff. These projects include: repairs to the Elm Street entrance, replacement of the East and South entrance doors, new heat reclaim unit, and domestic water repairs.
