ST. THOMAS ELGIN GENERAL HOSPITAL EXPANDS ACCESS TO COVID-19 ASSESSMENT CENTRE

The Provincial government has expanded testing to support and monitor more actively essential workers as well as anyone who is worried that they have been exposed or have contracted COVID- 19, even if they do not have symptoms. As a result, anyone who wishes to be tested, WITH or WITHOUT symptoms of COVID-19, can be tested.

The COVID-19 Assessment Centre at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital is expanding its hours of operation in response to this directive. Residents of St. Thomas and Elgin County no longer need a referral to visit; however, residents do require an appointment. Using an appointment model will allow for staggered appointment times to ensure physical distancing and protect the community.
