St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital Restricting All Visitors

(St. Thomas, ON) – To protect the health and safety of patients, staff and physicians, the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital is adapting its previously modified visiting hours. Changes will take effect Thursday, March 19.

Until further notice, STEGH will be enforcing a NO VISITOR policy.

Restricted access will remain in effect for critically ill and palliative patients, as well as those in the pediatric and obstetrical units. Visiting in these areas will be restricted to one (1) visitor per patient, with exceptions assessed on a one-to-one basis. All children attending the Emergency Department can have one (1) guardian present.

St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital thanks the community for their understanding and support as COVID-19 directions continue to evolve.
