Elm Street Construction

The City of St. Thomas is reconstructing Elm Street from Sunset Drive to First Avenue. The project includes replacement of sewers, watermain, utilities, traffic signals, road and sidewalk. 

Elm Street is scheduled to reopen on Friday, November 29 at 3:00 p.m. 

Access to the hospital is via First Avenue > Mandeville Road > Wood Street ONLY. Click here to view a map. 

Signage is posted to indicate the temporary route.

Dropping someone off or picking them up? 

Signs are posted at the hospital entrance to indicate temporary drop off/pick up areas for Emergency and the East Entrance (Main Building). Click here to view the temporary drop off/pick up locations. Please note: The South Building drop off area is NOT affected. 

Temporary Bus Route
St. Thomas Transit will be detouring Route 4 & 5b as of Monday July 15th until November. In order to accommodate the potential for long delays, Route 4 and Route 5b-(South Student Express) will be an hour cycle.

The temporary bus stop for the hospital is located on Hepburn Ave, south of Glidden Ave.
