STEGH is in the process of developing a new Strategic Plan
What will health care for the residents of St. Thomas and Elgin County will look like into the year 2023?
The hospital has been working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders over the past several months, and gathering ideas from the community to help inform and guide the development of a new Strategic Plan. This Plan will communicate where the hospital would like to be in the future, along with the key long-term priorities that STEGH will pursue to realize its future aspirations.
One of the guiding principles in developing the Plan is to Collaborate and Engage. “We’ve hosted various forums across Elgin County to seek input from patients, families, and caregivers,” says Robert Biron, President and CEO. “We believe if we leverage our collective wisdom and creativity, we will develop better and innovative solutions that meet or exceed the expectations of those we serve.”
In addition to hosting public forums, STEGH completed a thorough engagement process with internal staff and partners, and hosted meetings with local businesses and municipal leaders.
The new Strategic Plan will be shared in the spring.
