Elgin County Municipal Supervisor's Association Supports Hospital Foundation 

Success in hosting a convention and golf tournament in 2004, allowed the Elgin County Municipal Supervisor's Association to recently donate $500 to the STEGH Foundation to assist with patient care equipment needs.Foundation Board Member Betty Lynn Cassis (left) accepted the cheque presented by Association Vice-President Meredith Goodwin and President Mark Sture.

 

Odd Fellows and Rebekahs Heart Equipment Fund in St. Thomas and Elgin joined together to make a $7,200 donation to fund coronary intensive care equipment at STEGH.

Proceeds of $4,107 supported the Palliative Care Unit from the H.O.P.E. Knights of Columbus (KFC): Grand Knight Bill Claessens, left, presented a donation of $5,000 on behalf of from the Aylmer Knights of Columbus to STEGH Foundation Vice President, Dave Mennill.  The gift will be used to assist with the care of children in the Family Centre. 
The St. Thomas Masonic District Foundation which represents 10 Masonic lodges in this area, have donated $10,000 for the purchase of a new cystoscopy used by urologist Dr. Michael Cheng.  Over the past five months, the St. Thomas Masonic District Foundation has donated $20,000 to purchase two cystoscopies
Scotiabank St. Thomas Branch manager Don McNabb (left) and Karen Ferrie, customer service representative, present a cheque for $1,800 to Dave Mennill, STEGH Foundation Vice President.  One half of the money was raised by employees through a silent auction and Scotiabank made a matching gift.

In Memory of Family & Friends

Sharon & Peter Blain from Aylmer recently presented a framed print titled 'Amazing Grace' to benefit STEGH's Palliative Care Unit.  Accepting on behalf of the Palliative Care Team is (centre) Kris Roberts, RN.  Sharon won the print in a lottery for the Breast Buddies of Sarnia and Kevin Morrell, Minerva Art Gallery in Aylmer kindly donated the framing. 

 

 

 

Scotia Bank Makes A Silent Gift!

Scotiabank representatives (from left) Don McNabb, Branch Manager and Karen Ferrie, Customer Service, present a cheque to Dave Mennill, VP STEGH Foundation for $1,800.  Money was raised through a Silent Auction and the bank matched the amount.

 

Port Stanley Lions Gift 

The Port Stanley Lions Club made a pledge payment of $2,000 toward their pledge of $10,000 for new patient care equipment for STEGH. 

 

 

A 'Hearty' Donation of $7,200

Last November, the Odd Fellow & Rebekah's Heart Equipment Fund made a very generous donation of $7,200 to purchase coronary patient care equipment at STEGH including 2 heart rhythm generators and a plastic teaching heart.

 

 

Walmart Makes A Special Gift

 The wonderful Employees at Walmart, St. Thomas raised $2,033.86 to help STEGH's new Lunn Palliative Care Unit.  Ally Campbell, (front middle) daughter of Walmart employee Pam Campbell (front left), grew her hair so that she could donate it - all 10" - to the Angel Hair for Kids Program.  Her generosity inspired employees to raise money for STEGH through many events such as a BBQ, bingo & other fun contests.  We are grateful to all the Employees at Walmart.  THANK YOU!
