Volunteer Services is committed to the development, implementation and maintenance of quality volunteer programs that support and assist patients, families and visitors of the hospital. At the same time, this service works to ensure that the necessary resources and systems are in place to respond to the needs, motivation and satisfaction of its volunteers.

Volunteers assist with patient care & administration.  They can be seen in various areas of the hospital such as:
Ambulatory Care, Business Office, Cardiac Intensive Care, Cardio-Respiratory, Central Registry, Chemotherapy, Complex Continuing Care, Emergency, Escort Services, Family Centered Maternal Child Care, Foundation Office, Human Resources, Information Desk, Mammography, Medical Floors, Occupational Health, Out-Patient Surgery, Pastoral Visitors, Pre-Admit Clinic, Radiology, Rehabilitation Services, Surgical Suite, and Transitional Care.

Volunteer & Community Services is responsible for the coordination of the following within the Hospital:

  • Patient-Care & Administration Volunteers
  • Adult & High School Student Co-Operative Education Placements
  • Grade 9 -Take Your Kids to Work Day
  • Ontario Works Placements

Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Volunteer Services is located on the ground floor on the hospital within the Human Resources office.
