General Visiting Hours
Visiting Hours are from 2:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Maximum Two Visitors at a Time

Visiting Hours for
Family Centered Maternal Care Centre (FCMCCU)

Paediatrics Parents only (24 hrs a day)
Isolation visiting restricted
Special Care Nursing visiting guidelines will be provided to parents as needed.
Obstetrics Fathers have unrestricted visiting
Maximum 2 visitors at a time 2 pm to 8 pm
Birthing Room Father and coach are permitted only


CICU, Palliative and Continuing Care Centre
Visiting Hours
 

Visiting hours may be outside of the hospitals posted hours for patients who are critically ill, palliative patients and Continuing Care Centre patients. Visiting hours for these patients will be determined by patients, their families and members of the healthcare team.

 

Palliative Care patients may have their family with them in the specially provided family rooms.


 

  Attention Visitors
Is your visit necessary?
Support from family and friends is an important part of the healing process.  Please remember that patients also req
uire rest, privacy and a risk free environment for a speedy recovery.
  • Please do not enter the hospital if you have been in contact with a person who has a contagious illness (e.g. colds, chicken pox, influenza).

  • Please do not visit a patient if you are feeling ill.

  • Please do not bring latex products into the hospital

  • No scent is good sense.  Please do  not bring strongly scented flowers into the hospital and please do not use heavily scented body products when visiting (e.g. perfume, Easter Lilies).

Hand Washing
Please wash your hands...
using the nearest washroom or by using a liquid sanitizer when entering and exiting the hospital.

Did You Know?
Visitors can bring illness into the hospital environment.  If you feel ill please do not visit.

  • Receiving numerous visitors can be stressful for patients.
  • Some patients prefer not to have visitors during their hospital stay.
  • Instead of visiting a patient in hospital, consider sending a personal note, calling or visiting at home when they are feeling better.
  • Patient length of stay in hospital is shorter than ever before
