The Nurse Clinician role is a dynamic opportunity to role model expert nursing practice and facilitate enhanced patient care in a Patient Centred Care environment. The Nurse Clinician’s responsibilities focus on practice development using evidence based practice, education of staff using adult learning principles, coordination of the orientation of newly hired nursing staff and the development of core competencies to assist nurses in achieving their performance expectations. The Nurse Clinician participates as a member of an interdisciplinary team, takes a leadership role in the facilitation of evidence based practice, program development and quality improvement initiatives and with outcomes that support excellence in patient /family care.  

The Nurse Clinician supports the team members in their program in attaining their goals. As a collaborative team player, the Nurse Clinician’s in-depth knowledge contributes to the outcomes of the related services within the hospital.  The direct service delivery is determined by the professional nursing standards, evidence based guidelines and established policies.

Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
