STEGH CARES, and it is our vision that your experience of our caring will be
excellent! We intend to demonstrate through our everyday behaviours and interactions with
you that we value compassion, accountability, respect, excellence and safety.
Our Mission statement asserts that your care, and support for your involvement in
decision-making about your care are our priorities.
This patient guide has been prepared with you and your loved ones in mind and
I hope that it is helpful during your time with us. Effective communication with
you and your loved ones is important to us and we know the limits of this written
guide. Please do not hesitate to ask questions of your care provider (or manager
of the patient care area) or raise any concerns you might have. This will help us
to help you.
We also seek to provide an inclusive and accessible environment that identifies,
removes and prevents barriers to inclusion and full participation for all members
of our community. Our Annual Accessibility Plan is posted on our website for your
review www.stegh.on.ca, or it is available upon request. If you identify a barrier
to access or require assistance, any member of the STEGH team will be pleased to
assist you.
I hope that the care you experience while at STEGH will be excellent!
Sincerely,
Paul Collins
