Browse through our selection of cuddly plush toys, flowers, candy, seasonal
decorations, cards, magazines, books, baby gifts, health and beauty products and
those little extras that may have been forgotten at home. Ask our helpful staff
for gift ideas. The Auxiliary “Gift Box” is located on the ground floor Atrium
adjacent to Bluenote Café call ext. 2220. Bank Machine (ATM) There is an ATM
machine available in the Atrium near the Gift Box and the Bluenote Café.
Parking
• Patient/Visitor parking is available in the East Parking Lot, CCC and
Emergency Lots. Parking Rates are as follows:
• East Parking Lot – up to a maximum of $5.00. (Pay
Station is located at the East Entrance. MasterCard/VISA accepted)
• CCC Parking Lot – Flat rate of $5.00 (Payable at
departure. Exact change required)
• Emergency Parking Lot – Flat rate of $6.00 (Payable
at departure. Exact change required)
Two (2) change machines are located at Emergency and
Talbot Trail entrance.
• Weekly and Monthly parking passes are available for purchase at Switchboard
located on Ground Floor at the Emergency Department. Parking Pass rates are as
follows:
• Weekly Parking Pass - $50.00 (includes $25 refundable
deposit)
• Monthly Parking Pass - $75.00 (includes $25
refundable deposit) VISA/MasterCard, debit or cash accepted
• Wheelchair accessible parking is available in all parking lots • Designated
Motorcycle parking is available in the East Lot
• Do not park in restricted or Fire Lane areas. Vehicles parked there are
subject to fines or towing.
• Patient pick up and drop off areas are located at the East, CCC and
Emergency Entrances.
STEGH is not responsible for damage to personal property or for cars left on
Hospital property.
Newspapers
Local newspapers are available in the Bluenote Café in the Atrium. Toronto
newspapers are available just outside the main entrance to the Hospital at the
East End.

Conveniently located on the ground floor in the Atrium Monday to Friday
6:30am – 7:30pm (Grill Closed from 2pm-4pm) Saturday, Sunday & Holidays 8:00am –
5:00pm (Grill Closed)

Vending Machines Available 24 hours a day, located on 1st floor, entrance
across from the Business Office and ground floor near Mammography. Soft drink
machines are located in most waiting rooms.
Television
To Order: To order a TV for your room please call or visit
the Switchboard Office located on ground floor or at ext. “0” Installation:
Payment arrangements must be made before the service is activated. Service will
be connected within two hours of payment. Method of Payment:
VISA, MasterCard, Cash or Debit Cost: First day + connection
fee is $15.00, then $9.00 each day after (tax included), disposable head phones
are provided free of charge. Please do not bring your own Television. A
television is located in each lounge on the units. The TV rental program is
operated by the Hospital with proceeds used to purchase medical equipment and
supplies.
Telephone
Telephones are available in most patient rooms with specialized
telephones for those visually impaired available upon request. A teletypewriter
(TTY), a telecommunications device for the hearing impaired is also available.
Long distance calls must be “collect” or charged to a calling card. For the
comfort of the other patients, incoming calls are discouraged between 11:00pm
and 7:00am. Remember that cellular phones may not be used in the patient rooms
or patient care areas. Cost: First day + connection fee $12.00,
then $4.00 each day after (tax included)
Hospital Services Available at Home – Call 631-2020
Apnea Monitor Service, ext. 2410 This is important for
families who have a history of infant apnoea. Home Oxygen Service, ext. 2410
Medical oxygen is delivered to your home. All respiratory therapy and devices
are available through Respiratory Home Services.
Connect Care, ext. 2353 Lifeline is a personal response service
that provides security and peace of mind to our customers who live alone and
have health concerns. Rental information is available Monday to Friday, 8:00am -
4:00pm.
