Board Chair Bruce Babcock
|
Hospitals in Ontario benefit from the enormous contribution of volunteer time, energy, and talent offered by the members of their Boards of Governors. At St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital (STEGH), we are very fortunate to continue the quality of representation we have enjoyed in the past. In keeping with our bylaws, the Board of Governors is comprised of six elected, four appointed and four ex officio members. The elected members include three ratepayer residents from each of the City of St. Thomas and Elgin County; the appointed members represent the STEGH Auxiliary, STEGH Foundation, St. Thomas council and Elgin County Council; and the ex-officio members include the STEGH Chief of Staff/VP Medical Affairs, the President and Vice President of the STEGH Medical Staff and the STEGH CEO.
The Board provides direction and leadership to the Hospital by setting and pursuing corporate goals aligned with the Hospital's vision to be the best community hospital in Ontario. In so doing, we rely on the teamwork provided by the professional and administrative staffs as well as the positive relationships with external stakeholders to insure our pursuit of this vision.
Anyone interested in more information on the Hospital Board may contact the hospital at (519) 631-2030 ext. 2184.
